Encova Insurance Names Ben Nichols Commercial Lines Regional Vice President

Columbus, OH, April 22nd, 2026 — Encova Insurance announced that Ben Nichols joined the company as regional vice president, Commercial Lines, effective April 6.

In this role, Nichols will oversee Encova’s Commercial Lines Large South region, serving agents across Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. His appointment follows the retirement of Len Hampton, who concluded his career with Encova at the end of March.

Nichols brings more than 30 years of insurance industry experience, with a background spanning underwriting, field operations and agency development. Most recently, he served as a regional vice president at Amerisure, where he led a $350 million region across nine states. He previously held a regional vice president role at Berkley Southeast, where he launched and managed a multi-line operation across Georgia and Alabama.
