Mayfield Village, OH, August 18, 2026 — Progressive Insurance announced today its expanded investment in college athletics through a new agreement with Learfield – the leading media and technology company powering college athletics. The collaboration brings the brand to 13 universities, connecting with millions of passionate fans through the traditions and excitement of college football.
The agreement places Progressive at the center of the college football game day experience, with on-field branding at Boise State, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Purdue, SMU, Syracuse, Texas Tech, USC and Wake Forest—creating premium brand visibility at some of the sport's most recognizable stadiums.
“We are excited to be a part of the college football landscape with this investment,” said Sean Freeman, Media Business Leader at Progressive. “It is an opportunity to support the collegiate student-athletes at these storied institutions as well as create a unique viewing experience for the fans. College football is ingrained in the cultures at these Universities and we are proud to be a small part of those traditions.”
As a Proud Sponsor of each university, Progressive’s national presence will be complemented by in-game videoboard features, in-venue LED signage, digital and social media integrations and other game day experiences designed to engage fans before kickoff, throughout the game and beyond the final whistle.
“College athletics offers brands a level of fan passion and loyalty that's hard to match,” said Shawn Hegan, Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships at Learfield. “This program gives Progressive a consistent presence across some of the biggest stages in the sport while creating meaningful connections with fans throughout the season.”
Progressive's branding and integrated marketing elements will debut with the start of the 2026 college football season.
